BREAKING: FEDERAL GOVERNMENT scraps HNDs, merges POLYTECHNICS with UNIVERSITIES

THE Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday approved a comprehensive reform of Nigeria's tertiary
education system, scrapping the award of the Higher National Diploma (HND) by the nation's polytechnics. In effect, the award of the HND will be limited to only the students currently admitted for the programmes.

Also, all the programmes currently being run by the polytechnics, which are not technology-based, and which are about 70 per cent, will be scrapped.

He says in 2015 he had heart attack and was taken to the hospital for heart surgery and while in the hospital he had a dream and in that dream he found himself in a long queue at the gate of heaven and everyone was dressed in white garment. At the gate was Jesus dressed in a shiny sparkling white garment different from everyone and beside him Pastor Benny Hinn saw a woman that was playing a piano. Jesus would nod his head in signal as to whether a person was accepted or denied to enter. If it was a yes, the pianist would play glorious melodies and the glory was overwhelming and the gates would automatically open but if it was a denial the pianist would play horrible melodies and demons would come to take the person away to hell. He says, out of the whole queue only 20 percent entered but 80 percent were denied. They were all Christians and full of pastors but only 20 percent entered. He says everyone was trembling as they were waiting on the que. He says eventually Pastor Benny Hinn's turn came and the pianist knew Pastor Benny and smiled at him in admiration of his record amongst the people on earth but when Jesus looked at Benny Hinn, his look could tell that he was not impressed with Pastor Benny Hinn, and Pastor Hinn says his trembling and fear had increased knowing that he would not be able to make it through that gate and when Jesus was about to make his decision, then he woke up and God said to him "Don't blow up this time, this is your second chance" Pastor Benny Hinn then explained something that every long serving Christian need to take note of. He said all through his ministry he had two ministry duties, one was to serve the people with his gift that God has given him i.e preaching and performing miracles and the other ministry was his personal walk with God i.e. his fellowship with God on everyday basis. He says but from 2010 as he passed through a divorce his relationship with God became dead and God was far away. He says through the divorce he lost about 7 million dollars and his house and his relationship with God was gone totally.

The amazing thing is that he says when he knew that he is no longer with God thus when he saw many miracles in his ministry. He says that, because he is a great pretender so he pretended before the people as if he is with God and yet he was not.(remember the gifts of God are without repentance that is to say whether you are with God or not the gift will still work, but to enter the gate of heaven it will be your relationship with God i.e your right standing with God through Jesus Christ) " As to pretence, it is not only Pastor Benny Hinn but any long serving Christian becomes used to the things of God and eventually pretence becomes his everyday walk before the people and one minds more of the degree and opinion that the crowds hold on him than what God says."

OUTCRY AFTER CHINESE BANK STAFF PUBLICLY SPANKED ON TRAINING COURSE

Beijing (CNN) Eight employees of a rural bank in China have been publicly spanked for poor performance.

A cellphone video of a man with a wooden stick spanking each employee four times on a stage has been widely shared on Weibo, China's version of Twitter, since Sunday.

One of the hits threw a woman off balance. Some members of the audience, seated at dinner tables, can be seen turning their heads away in embarrassment. 

Initial Chinese media reports suggested it was the employees' boss wielding the stick but, according to a statement by local authorities in Changzhi, Shanxi province, the spanking was at the hands of a corporate coach during a team-building exercise organized by the bank.

It also claimed the coach shaved a man's head half bald as punishment.

At the event, a total of 216 bank staff were divided into 27 teams and, the bottom-ranked team -- including four men and four women -- were spanked by the corporate coach and told to reflect on their poor performance, according to the statement.

The People’s Liberation air force (PLAAF) at the weekend released photographs of one of its newest H-6K long-range nuclear-capable bombers overflying Scarborough Shoal on China’s Weibo social media service. The aircraft, based on a 1950s Russian design, is capable of delivering nuclear weapons throughout Asia.

SAFE RECYCLING PROCEDURE UNCOVERED FOR E-WASTE, MOBILE PHONES

IBM researchers has found a simple chemical process of converting discarded electronic waste including mobile phones and Compact Discs into harmless and high tenacity plastics in their recent research.

The Almaden research facility scientists, noted that the new discovery can help convert poly-carbonates into plastics safe for water purification, fiber optics and medical equipment.

According to their discoveries, more than 2.7 million tons of a plastic, known as polycarbonates, is being generated worldwide from old household items, such as CDs, smartphones and eyeglass lenses, as a part of a recycling process.

Research Staff Member, IBM Research, Gavin O Jones, said poly-carbonates are common plastics in the society – especially in consumer electronics in the form of LED screens, smartphones and Blu-rays, as well as everyday eyeglass lenses, kitchen utensils and household storage gear..

Jones said that the researchers have found a new way of recycling to improve how this prominent substance impacts the world’s health and environment. IBM said it researchers added a fluoride reactant, a base (similar to baking powder) and heat to old Compact Discs to produce a new plastic with temperature and chemical resistance superior to the original substance.
