God
did not hide the shame of Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego. He made them a public
spectacle. He did it to glorify His name. All along it was as if God was silent
but He showed up when they were thrown into the fire (see Dan. 3:8-26).
And
God said, in Isaiah 43:2 “…When you walk through the fire, you will not be
burned; the flames will not set you ablaze” The promise here is not to run away
or escape from the fire (i.e not to run away from that trouble or problem). He
said; “when you pass through…” The truth is, you must pass through something
for God to see you through. God cannot see you through if you run away from that
thing or problem that troubles or ridicule you. Forget about what people are
saying, forget about how ugly the problem has made you look. You may feel
worthless or dejected but if you don't give up, the Almighty God will surely
show up and when He shows up those that were laughing at you will laugh with
you. Know this, it might just be a test of your faith (see Deut. 8:2); you can
overcome that problem if you don’t give up.
If
you don't give up, God will show up; just at the right time and He will glorify
His name through you; that was in the case of the three Hebrews. Don't give up!
Keep high your hopes. He is never too late; He knows when it is right; hold on,
hold out (see Prov. 23:18, Prov. 10:28, 24:14).
